Located in the north-eastern corner of the famous Regent’s Park – near where you see London escorts, is the London Zoo. The London Zoo was voted the Best London Tourism Experience in 2010, in the Visit London Awards. The London Zoo was founded in 1828, and is one of the oldest scientific zoos today. Housing over 750 different species of animals, each year they receive more and more animals. In 2010, a new exhibit was added to the zoo, Rainforest Life. Tourists visiting this new exhibit experience the only rainforest in London, quite exciting. The exhibit is filled with a variety of different species, including sloths, tamandua, armadillo, and monkeys. If the rainforest isn’t exactly what you’re interested in, don’t worry! There is plenty more to see. The London Zoo contains several other habitats such as, Invertabrates, birds, reptiles, and several different mammals. Pricing is very reasonable for admission also!
